Hadlock is blessed with a healthy fish population. You can routinely catch the following fish:
Northern pike, bluegill, large and small mouth bass and small numbers of various other lake fish species.
About the fish stocking project:
The first fish stocking program on Hadlock in over 10 years has been completed. The LHA contracted with Integrated Aquatic Services which specializes in fish community surveys and habitat assessment. After collecting data and extensive research, IAS recommended stocking large mouth bass. On May 13, 2020, Hickling’s Fish Farm, who is certified by NYS, stocked 300 each 8-10” and 600 each 10-12” largemouth bass at the north end of the lake. When bass season opens on June 20th, we need your help and request that for this season, all bass are catch and release.
